What are Veterinary Technicians?
In Nevada, a Licensed Veterinary Technician often takes on a wide variety of tasks including drawing blood, placing catheters, assisting in surgery, managing anesthesia, and giving medications. In reality, an LVT’s duties encompass much more. In fact, it’s easier to list what they can’t do: make diagnoses, perform surgery or prescribe medication. We are proud to have a staff of highly qualified Licensed Veterinary Technicians.

“To be a leader who is acknowledged not by the position but by my ability to teach, encourage, support, and motivate my fellow team members to accomplish the goals they strive for. To continue to build Mountain View Animal Hospital to be a consistent, accountable, reputable and successful practice, who is known for its compassion and love of Reno’s pets.”
“As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, I promise to enrich the lives of every animal emotionally and physically and to be their advocate and voice when they are in need of one.”
