Nurse Appointment Update

Beginning September 1, 2026, Nurse Appointments will be $29.12.

At Mountain View Animal Hospital & Holistic Pet Care, we believe in providing the right level of care for every patient. Nurse appointments allow many routine services to be performed by our highly trained Licensed Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants when a doctor’s examination is not medically necessary. This provides a more affordable appointment option for our clients while ensuring pets continue to receive the exceptional care they deserve.

By utilizing our skilled nurse and assistant team, we can reserve doctor appointments for pets who need medical evaluation while offering a convenient, lower-cost option for many routine services.

What does this mean?

The nurse appointment fee is $29.12. This covers your pet’s visit with our nursing team, while any services or treatments provided during the visit are billed separately.
This does not apply to annual exams, medical progress exams, or other appointments that already include a doctor’s exam fee.
Services included in prepaid treatment packages or bundles will not incur the Nurse Appointment fee when performed as part of those prepaid plans.
An established Veterinary-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR) is required for all nurse appointment services, including nail trims and microchips.
