The logo, ideal for any veterinarian clinic, incorporates teal and black colors with dotted circular patterns around the text. We believe in joint decision-making between the pet owner and veterinarian. Our holistic pet care services and integrative approaches to general veterinary care are just part of what sets us apart from other veterinary clinics. Our Fear-Free, Feline-Friendly, and unique approach focuses treatment on the whole body (including mind, body, and soul) safeguarding our patient’s physical and emotional needs. Slide Spaying & Neutering
Microchipping
Surgery For exotic animals not listed, Mountain View Animal Hospital and Holistic Pet Care embraces the opportunity to assess each unique case with individualized care, focusing on a holistic approach to support your pet's well-being. It is important to note that we do not treat any poisonous animals at our facility. At Mountain View Animal Hospital & Holistic Care, we are one of the only veterinarian clinics in the Reno/Sparks area to offer services for exotic pets. With specialized training, Dr. Landon is able to treat many exotic animals, including: Reptiles; Birds; Ferrets; Rodents; Sugar Gliders; Hedgehogs; Rabbits. Exotic Animals
Spaying for female pets and neutering for male pets is a preventative procedure that removes their reproductive organs to help prevent unwanted pregnancy and risk for certain health conditions. Microchips can play a crucial role in identifying your pet. Implanted just under your pet's skin, these microchips are the size of a grain of rice and contain a unique identification number that can be read by most universal microchip scanners. This ensures your pet can be identified and you are notified in the event they ever go missing. We offer an extensive portfolio of surgical services, from spaying and neutering to advanced surgical procedures and orthopedics, to meet the unique needs of our small and large animal populations. We blend advanced surgical techniques with holistic therapies to provide comprehensive care for your pet that supports both physical healing and emotional wellness. We offer both comprehensive oral health assessment and treatments (COHATs) as well as preventative non-anesthetized teeth cleanings and assessments (PCTAs) at our animal hospital. PCTAs are available through our partner Animal Dental Care for pets without severe dental disease to help maintain their oral health between their regular anesthesia dental cleanings. Regular exams allow our veterinarians to assess your pet's overall health and wellness, including their dental health, to catch any problems before they become major issues. This is also a great opportunity to discuss preventative care such as vaccines, diet, and parasite control. From the puppy phase all the way to elderly support, Mountain View Animal Hospital & Holistic Care understands that wellness visits and preventative care are essential in keeping your pet healthy and happy at every stage of their life. Our wide array of general services, including routine health exams, state-of-the-art imaging, and an in-house diagnostic lab, is designed to create a comprehensive health plan to meet every animal's needs. Slide Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy
Ozone therapy delivers a special form of oxygen known as ozone, or O3, into your pet's body to help reduce inflammation, fight infection, and promote healing. Ozone Therapy
Prolozone therapy is used to help treat joint pain and lameness in your pet. Ozone is injected into the joint to help increase your pet's ability to produce connective tissue. This connective tissue provides additional stability for the joint. Prolozone Therapy
Herbal Therapy
Chiropractic and orthopedic manipulation are non-surgical options designed to help treat your pet's musculoskeletal system. They can help improve your pet's posture and maintain healthy movement patterns that can potentially prevent orthopedic issues in the future. Chiropractic Care and Orthopedic Manipulation
From dry needling to TENS electrostimulation and "aquapuncture," we take a natural approach to pain management and the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders by offering various acupuncture options based on your pet's unique needs. PRP is a blood plasma that is high in platelets and growth factors. PRP therapy is beneficial for your pet as it is a non-surgical alternative that can be injected into a specific area of the body to promote healing and reduce inflammation. Birds; Ferrets; Rodents; Sugar Gliders; Hedgehogs; Rabbits. At Mountain View Animal Hospital and Holistic Care Center, we incorporate Chinese herbal therapies into our treatment plan for almost every medical condition we see in both our general practice and our holistic care center. From digestion issues to viruses, arthritis, and emotional distress, natural herbal therapy can help with the healing process. Acupuncture Holistic Services
At Mountain View Animal Hospital & Holistic Care, we pride ourselves on offering a balanced approach to traditional and holistic medicine to provide a comprehensive treatment plan for your pet. Our holistic care center is located in a separate building from our main pet hospital and allows us to offer natural treatment services, including:
From diarrhea to vomiting and limping, we understand that urgent issues can happen that can't wait for your pet's routine check-up but also might not require an emergency visit. In addition to our preventative and holistic services, our staff has extensive knowledge in treating urgent care issues. We offer urgent care appointments most days of the week to ensure your pet can get essential care when they need it. However, there might still be a wait as priority is given to those with the most critical problems. Urgent Care
